My mom leaves tomorrow on a 2.5 week trip to Kenya where she, along with a group of faithful servants, will serve those who are in most need of God's love and grace. As she goes, I ask each of you to keep her and those with her in your prayers. Although she takes a trip every year, each year working and advocating on behalf of those most disenfranchised from society, I think her trip to Kenya will be different. I am confident that they will come face to face with God's children who have been forgotten for centuries by most first world countries and will be called by God to make the situations they encounter known to the rest of the world. I am confident that God will use each and every one of them in God's work there.

I was at your mom's tonight, and hearing about her trip made me feel this urge to want to go. I have never wanted to go on a mission that far away, but I am so much looking forward to the day that I can. Your mom is such an amazing woman, and seeing her be the hands and feet of Christ brings me such inspiration. I'll be reading her blog for sure.
