summer plans

you may think that based on my lack of blogging the last couple of weeks that i gave it up all together but i assure you i did not. things have been so busy around here. with school wrapping up, my friend whitney's bachelorette party in fredericksburg, memorial day madness, and of course all of these mavs games, i havent had the time or energy to blog!! things are finally starting to settle down around here though. last week i had inservice and this today we started summer school, which is a piece of cake since it is only 3 hours in the morning and only lasts through the month of june. i still get to spend the rest of the day playing with baird and of course doing the things around the house that i neglected during the school year. plus, its fun to have extra money :) when i got home today, i tried to compile a list of things i want to accomplish over the summer. this is what i've come up with so far...

{one} work on baird's baby book --- i've been neglecting it quite a bit over the last couple of months

{two} clean out my closet and dresser --- i've got entirely to many clothes that i never wear. i was going through my pajama drawer the other day and counted 17 pairs of pajama pants, 17!! i never wear any of them! as our family continues to grow i know we are going to be needing more space.

{three} reorganize our kitchen --- we need everything that is in our kitchen but it is in desperate need of some organizing. like pans in one place, dished in one place, baby stuff in one place, etc. i've started working on this but is still needs to be finished.

{four} make a shutterfly book from the day baird was born --- i've made one for my pregnancy, but i really want to make one with all of the beautiful pictures from the actual day he was born. i'll post on the pregnancy book sometime soon.

{five} the biggest task of the summer --- finish the LAUNDRY ROOM... we've installed the front-loading washer and dryer that my mom so graciously gifted us, but now we need to actually finish the room! we need to paint the walls, install a countertop, paint the shelves that i took out of someone's trash (yes, i dumpster dive), and do a little accessorizing.

it won't be all work and no play though... we have two super fun vacations planned for this summer. at the beginning of july, we are going to st. kitts with my dad, cynthia & micah, amanda, ryan & cooper, mandee & charlee, and brandon & courtney. it should be super fun and i cannot wait for 9 days of fun in the sun!!! at the end of the july/beginning of august, we are going to vancouver with griffin's parents maurice and carol, and graham & amy, hastings, lori, hayden & lucy, and austin, kally, grant & reid. there will be 5 kids under the age of three in the house so it should be an exciting time!!

expect a few more posts this week!!

love,

I haven't touched Liam's baby book since my last baby shower - yikes! I have a lot of work to do...

I meant to email you the other day - my mom ended up finding me a ironing board cover at HomeGoods the day I blogged about needing on. Thanks for offering to look!
