Recent Developments...or non-developments I should say.

I have spent the past few weeks baby-sitting, baby-sitting, and shockingly... more baby-sitting. My last day at the First Methodist Fort Worth was last Thursday and I must say, it was a bit anti-climatic. Although I am extremely relieved to be done with my internship and am looking forward to getting a full-time job, it is weird not going to work everyday. I am now a full-time babysitter. I babysit my 6 year old sister Micah on Mondays and Tuesdays and my nephew Grant Wednesdays - Fridays and every other Saturday. Although it is not what I pictured my life looking life after graduation from seminary, until I find a full-time job, it pays the bills.

The past few weeks have been extremely hectic with various activities. Here is a highlight of a few of them...

1) Memorial Day Weekend --- I cannot remember if I mentioned previously what we did for Memorial Day, but I figured I would mention it again since we had so much fun! We went to Granbury on Sunday and spent the day at my dad's house swimming in the pool and eating!! On Monday, some of our friends from Baylor who live in Dallas came down and we all went on the lake. Wicks, Hollier, Andy, and Mitch and Haley, as well as Graham, Amy, Griffin and I went out to Sandy Beach for the day!! We met up with Russ and some of his friends from TCU and had such a great time!!

2) Griffin, Graham, Amy, and I went to the Colonial to watch my dad play in the Pro Am. For those of you who are not avid golfers or who do not watch golf, the Colonial is a huge professional golf tournament that is held at the Colonial Golf Course in Fort Worth... like 2 miles from our house. On Wednesday, the day before the tournament begins, the Pro Am takes place. 1 professional golfer is paired with 4 amateur golfers to form a team... hints the term Pro Am. Anyways, my dad, Burt Preissinger, and 2 other people from Granbury have played in it the past few years and this year did not disappoint. They played great, looked great (they all wore knickers), and we all had a lot of fun. 2 celebrities played in the tournament this year also:Luke Wilson and George Lopez!! We got some great pictures of them and even saw them after the tournament at Joe T's!!

3) My family went to down to San Antonio for a weekend to see my cousin Bryna graduate!! Because I am used to graduations that take like 2.5 hours, we were really excited that it only lasted an hour and a half. There were 550 graduates and it only took 45 minutes to call all of their names (yes, my dad timed it on his iPhone). Anyways, we had a great couple of days spending time with my wonderful family!

4) My mom, Amanda, Mallory, Griffin and I went to the Ranger's game on Monday night for United Methodist Night at the Ballpark! Although we missed it, Bishop Lowry threw out the first pitch!

I think that pretty well sums up our most recent activities. We have an extremely busy weekend coming up with Drew Eure's (Griffin's fraternity brother) wedding on Friday night in Southlake and Jackie Whittet's wedding on Saturday night in Fort Worth at the Worthington. In addition, Sunday is our 1 year wedding anniversary!! I truly cannot believe how fast the year has gone! We are planning on staying the night at the Worthington on Saturday night since that is where the wedding is and it is my favorite hotel in Fort Worth, waking up on Sunday morning, eating room-service for breakfast, then heading to Southlake for the day to shop, see a movie, and eat dinner! It should be a great day!!

And let the countdown begin for our family vacation in the Bahamas = 11 days...

Y'all are going to the Bahamas!?! So fun!!

I can't wait to be able to take a real vacation again...Will's uber-demanding job doesn't allow vacation time for the first TWO years! So we've been sneaking weekend getaways, but they're just not the same!

I hope y'all have a wonderful anniversary and have fun in Southlake!!

P.S. I went to high school with the "future Eure's" - Leslie and I were on drill team together. I wish we would have kept more in touch - tell her hi for me! I know she will be a gorgeous bride!

I am so jealous y'all are going to the Bahamas! You'll have to post pics and tell us about it when you get back. I can't believe it has been a year ago you got married! That sure did go by fast. Hang in there...the perfect job for you will turn up!
