{one} we had a wonderful relaxing weekend. we stayed the night in granbury on friday night because i had to work saturday school. we didn't see any sense in driving home from work on friday, just to turn around saturday morning and drive back. so we had dinner at my dad's house on friday and spent time with family. on saturday, i worked saturday school and then we met my sister and ryan for lunch at uncle julios. yummmy mexican food :) saturday afternoon we spent cleaning, fertilizing and, of course, playing with our precious baby. saturday night we had people over and BBQed. i love this time of year because the weather is not too cold and not too hot... just perfect. sunday we worked around the house again and then went to weatherford for my step-dad's birthday party. overall, we had a wonderful weekend.
{two} i'm about to be an aunt again!! my sister amanda is literally about to pop, we are just waiting on the call. she is about 37 weeks and the doctor has put her on bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy due to her high blood pressure. i am so excited for baby cooper to get here and for baird to have a new playmate!! after experiencing how wonderful parenthood really is, i can't wait for amanda and ryan to experience it as well!
{three} we have a few projects around the house that i really want to work on this week. we keep saying we are going to get to them and then life gets in the way!! i want to work on the back yard, particularly the back porch, and the mud room/laundry room/pantry!! i'll post pictures if we actually get around to it!
{four} i have a lot of exciting things going on during the next couple of months...
- cooper's arrival --- seriously so excited!
- the second annual humphrey's crawfish boil!!
- whitney's bridal shower in a couple of weeks --- can't wait to spend time with my girlfriends!
- easter sunday!!
- whitney's bachelorette party in fredricksburg!!
- the end of the school year!!
{five} as of today we only have 9 weeks of school left!! although i am teaching summer school, it is way more laid back than regular school. we only work for 3 hours a day and, for the extra money, it is totally worth it!! i cannot wait for summer!!
{six} a baird update: he is getting so big!! every day it seems like he grows another inch. he is awake a lot more during the day and he sleeps so great at night now. the other night he slept from 9:00 - 5:00, which is totally awesome. i cannot wait to spend the summer with him.

Counting down the weeks until summer break here, too! At my old school when we were down to one month, one of the teachers would always make a big flower out of construction paper with lots of petals that could be pulled as we counted down each day : )
