wednesday love

Happy Wednesday Ya'll!!

this wednesday, i'm loving...

{one} that it's wednesday, that there are only 2 work days after today, and that TAKS is over, or english taks that is! i cannot tell you how excited i am for it to be over. i talked to all of my kiddos and they all think they did well on it. only time will tell.

{two} that we painted our front door last night and that it looks wonderful. i'll post pictures later this week once we finish spiffing up the front porch with new house numbers.

{three} that in the last week i inherited three new sets of china. i didn't register for china when we got married because in all honesty, i couldn't imagine asking people to buy expensive dishes for me when i knew i would rarely use them. but when they are gifted/handed down to me by family members, why not??

the first set is from my grandma who died a few years ago. my mom already has a couple of sets and knew she wouldn't use them. i love how different they are. the only way it would let me attach a large picture was by rotating it...

the second set is from one of griffin's family's dear family friends, georgia, who if you remember, also gifted us with our dresser turned changing table that we put in baird's room. i love how simple these are and can't wait to use them.

the third set is also from georgia and i think it is absolutely precious. although i debated whether or not to take them off of my m-i-law's hands, i can totally see myself using them when i host baby showers, wedding showers, etc. aren't they precious?!?

{four} that we are going to grapeland this weekend. i love going to grapeland because it is one of the only places we can actually relax. it is void of internet connection, phone connection, and there are no household chores to be done. grapeland is where griffin's dad grew up and after his parents died, he and his siblings decided to keep the house. we typically go in march to celebrate maurice's birthday, this year he turns the big 60, and again in october for the annual peanut festival. because this is baird's first trip, it should be extra special.

{five} that spring is almost here. the past week has been beautiful and i cannot wait for spring!! daylight savings is next weekend and im so excited for it to stay light, later in the evening. now we will actually be able to go on long walks when we get home at night. i love spring and summer!!

{six} that spring break is in a week and a half. i can't wait to spend all day every day with baird, hopefully soaking up some rays by the pool. i plan on getting some last minute things done for my teacher certification program and as i mentioned before, spending lots of quality time with baird!!

hope everyone has a fabulous wednesday!!

love,
maggie

Oh it's beautiful! We decided not to get fancy china for our wedding either, we just got plain white with a white design, and we use them every day. When my great grandpa passed away I got his tea set and I LOVE it.

Pretty China!!!!! I DID register for it, and got all 12 place settings from one person. Now I wish I hadn't registered for it, and he could of gotten us something more useful. =P
YAY Wed, and SUPER YAY Spring!
