a two week catch up

{warning: this post is extremely long and full of lots of pictures}

it has been two whole weeks since i posted. i know, a ridiculously long time. the last two weeks have been crazy busy both at work and in our personal lives. here is whats been going on around here lately...

{one} griffin started his new job and he absolutely loves it. it took some adjusting getting our morning routine down since he is carpooling with me now but after a week, we got it together. because the company is a start-up company, it has been really exciting for griffin and the other people he is working with.

{two} two weekends ago we went to grapeland for griffin's dad's 60th birthday. it was baird's first trip to grapeland and we had a great time relaxing away from the hustle and bustle.

{three} last weekend my dad got married!! we spent the whole weekend at rough creek lodge, which is sooooooo beautiful, and had an amazing weekend. their food is fantastic, and we even saw deon sanders vacationing there with his family. the wedding was absolutely beautiful and i could not be more excited for my dad and cynthia. she was a beautiful bride.

{four} this past weekend was the 33rd annual general granbury's birthday in granbury. every year there is a bean cook off so griffin's dad, griffin, and his 3 brothers decided to enter it. although we didn't place in the tasting contest, we did win 3rd place for showmanship... we were super friendly :)

in between our weekends we worked, hung out with friends and family, and of course did a couple of house projects. i've been promising pictures of our front door forever now and i finally have some to post. i wanted to wait until i hung the new mailbox and wreath i bought. the mailbox is from an antique store and was $3.50 and the wreath was on clearance at tuesday morning for $7.99. score. and we also got an american flag :)

so what do you guys think? we love the way the red door pops off the gray brick!!

hope you guys have had a fabulous few weeks. back to normal broadcasting this week, i swear :)

love,
maggie
