64 items for $16

as if baird didn't have enough clothes to begin with, yesterday, my younger sister mallory and i went to kidtokid in weatherford for a huge sale they were having. apparently a couple of times a year, they have to clean out the stuff they have to make room for new stuff. my sister had heard that they were having a "stuff the bag sale", where you pay $5 for as much as you could fit into a plastic shopping bag. and you can fill as many bags as you want. yes i know, ridiculous. although i wasn't sure what kind of stuff they would have, i figured i might as well go. even if i only came home with one bag, it would be worth the $5. mallory came with me so she could shop for cooper, our soon-to-be-born nephew, and for our two step-nieces.

we showed up about 20 minutes early to get a spot in line and i am sure glad we did. the place was packed. although it definitely took some grabbing and elbowing, i ended up with three shopping bags stuffed to the brim of baby clothes... 64 outfits in total...all for the insane price of $16 with tax. and i'm not talking old, crappy clothing. i'm talking baby gap, old navy, osh-kosh-bgosh brands, some still with the original tags on them. when they rang me up, they told me that i would have spent $250 if i would have bought it all at their full price. i am sure it would have been over $1500 easy if i had bought it at retail.

anywho... here are some pictures of the clothes...

the 0 - 12 month clothing

and a couple of my favorites

and the 12 -24 month clothing

and a few of my favorites

pretty insane right? now if only i can fit it all into his closet. luckily he has a huge dresser with tons of storage in his room. i'm thinking i'll only hang clothing from 0-12 months and fold the rest of it and put it into the drawers according to size. we shall see, we shall see.

happy sunday everyone :)

love,
maggie

Ditto to what Rachel said, those striped outfits are CUTE! We have a KidtoKid here in town, I should check and see if/when they're doing anything like that!
