1. Where did you meet your spouse and did you instantly know it was love?
although we attended the same pre-school, it wasn't until middle school that griffin and i became good friends. we had the same group of friends and spent tons of time together. we dated for two weeks in the eight grade, griffin decided it was getting too serious for him (haha) and then we broke up. i dated someone else for a couple of years and the summer after our sophomore year of high school, we started dating again. i knew early on when we started dating again that he was the person i would marry. although i didn't know that i would eventually follow him to baylor (i had my heart set on tcu) the thought of going somewhere without him was unbearable. we started dating July 27, 2002, got married June 14, 2008, and just welcomed our first baby on January 5, 2011. we are very blessed. 2. What is your favorite room in your house?
although i love a lot of the rooms in our house, my favorite right now is probably the nursery... most likely because is spend so much time in there :) to see pictures of the nursery, check out the nursery label on the right side of the blog. for some reason blogger won't let me upload any more pictures right now.
3. Can you wiggle your ears?
nope.
4. What is your evening ritual?
before baby: get home from work, find something to make for dinner, cook/eat, blog for a bit, work on a house project, watch some television, and in bed by 10:30.
after baby: feed baby, wait for griffin to get home, find something to make for dinner, cook/eat, baby wakes up, change diaper and feed baby, watch some television and spend time with the hubby, baby wakes up, change diaper and feed baby, clean up around the house, watch some more television, baby wakes up, change diaper and feed baby, go to sleep, then change diaper and feed baby a could of times in the middle of the night.
i have a feeling this ritual is going to have to change significantly once i go back to work. and it will definitely change as baird's sleep patterns change. right now he sleeps a ton during the day. i suspect that he will start sleeping less during the day and for longer stretches at night.
5. How many hours of sleep do you need to function?
about 6-7... we have been going to bed earlier since the baby was born in order to compensate for the hours that we lose during the night when we wake up. as long as i get a combined 6-7 hours of sleep, i am good to go, although i would definitely prefer 8.
happy saturday :)
love,
maggie
