friday pm: after we got home from work, we went to fuzzy's to grab a bite to eat. we had hastings, lori, and austin and their kiddos came over to watch the mavs beat up on the lakers. because people were coming over, we decided to turn the airconditioner on. after about 30 minutes we realize said airconditioner was not working very well. we weren't sure if it was hott because there were so many people over or if it was because it was broken. around 11 griffin went to tom thumb and got a new air filter. said air filter did nothing. we went to sleep hot.
saturday am: saturday morning we woke up, got dressed, and headed to ross. i'd been wanting a new rug for our living room for quite some time and decided today was a good day to look. we found a jute rug like i'd been wanting and the $30 price tag was perfect. then we met my mom, step-dad, aunt, and sisters at lucilles for brunch, which was delicious. we celebrated mother's day then so my sister and i could celebrate with the our in-laws on sunday! my mom loved her coach wallet and i loved the watch and picture frame i got from my momma!
saturday pm: after brunch, we ran over to world market. there was a coffee table i had been eyeing for a few months and i wanted to show griffin. after about 15 minutes of debating back and forth, we decided to get it. the funny thing is that i was the one that wanted it, but griffin had to talk me into it. i hate spending money. here is a picture of the table, but i will write a whole post on it later this week with more and better pictures.
the ac person came out saturday afternoon and low and behold, we need an entirely new airconditioner!! i almost had a heart attack when he told us that! he gave us two bids, one for a new compresser and coils ($5000) and one for a new furnace as well ($8000). because of the jaw-dropping prices, we decided to get a second quote. happy mother's day to me :) because our house was stifling, we decided to go ahead and head to granbury on saturday night.
sunday: sunday morning we woke up, got ready, and headed over to griffin's parents house. we spent the afternoon with his family and had a wonderful time. it is always hilarious watching all of the kiddos together. there are five of them under the age of 3 and it is quite chaotic when they are all together! carol loved the michael kors watch that we got her!
after we left griffin's parent's house, we watched the rest of the mavs game at my dad's, swam for a few hours, and then went to braums for dinner. because our airconditioner still hadn't been fixed we stayed the night. although i would have liked to NOT spend $8000 on a new airconditioner, other than that, we had a great weekend!

Aww Baird looks so adorable in his Mother's Day outfit! Is it from Janie & Jack, it looks like there stuff. Aside from the AC issue, sounds like a good weekend. I love World Market - can't wait to see more pics of the coffee table and how you decorate it! Our coffee table is currently overrun with bottles, burp cloths, and other baby things - not cute!
