kitchen curtains

well we get to check one thing off of our kitchen list. although i had originally planned on DIYing some burlap curtains for the windows in our kitchen, after thinking about it for a bit, i decided that we needed something in there with color to brighten up the space a bit. everything else in the room is neutral, either white, tan, or black. i new i wanted a simple valance but wasn't exactly sure what else i wanted. i originally wanted a buffalo check in a bright color, but when i saw this cutie at tuesday morning for only $14.99, i thought it would work perfectly. this is the picture i sent griffin asking him if he approved. it really shows the pattern better than any of the pictures i took in the actual kitchen.

the valance was 71inches in length and, because our windows are only 31 inches wide, i was able to buy just one. i cut it directly in half and am going to have my mom put a hem in each end at some point. i love the way it turned out and it totally brightens up the space. excuse the quality of these pictures. this room gets no natural light and it is hard to take decent pictures in there.

{the before}

{the afters}

the kitchen to-do list:
* diy new curtains for kitchen windows
* replace the light above the sink
* purchase a new kitchen rug and hand towels
* add a few new decorative accessories
* reface the cabinets with new doors
* replace the countertops with either quartz or granite
* replace the refrigerator with a stainless steel fridge

hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

love,

Hello Friends,

The most popular kitchen window treatment for contemporary kitchens is blinds. There are numerous types of blinds, including mini blinds, timber venetian blinds, micro blinds. The kitchen is one of the rooms containing an assortment of items and appliances, plus contrasting textured surfaces. In this case, sometimes less is more. If you are at a loss, you can never go wrong with using plain and simple fabrics. This is also one of the kitchen curtain ideas used to complement the modern kitchen look. Thanks for providing this kitchen curtains.
