happenings

well since posting last quite a few things have changed. after a lot of discussion between griffin and i, we decided to purchase a house instead of build. a lot of factors came into play in our decision but in the end we are extremely excited about our decision. the house we are actually purchasing is one that we looked at a couple of years ago when we thought about moving to granbury but ended up staying in fort worth. we loved the house for a lot of reasons. we loved the layout. we loved the charming sunroom and pool off the back. and most importantly, we loved that it needed a little bit of work. when we started looking and saw that it was for sale again we got excited. of course we still weren't sure if we wanted to do a lot of work again, our last two houses have been fixer-uppers, but in the end we decided that remodeling is what we love. we wouldn't feel right moving into a house that was already done. plus, we've been able to gain quite a bit of equity in both of our previous homes and we are hoping to do the same this time around.

so with that being said, we've been really busy. busy packing up our current house, we have to be out a week from today, and busy getting all of the stuff for the new house done. we had the inspection yesterday and everything checked out fine. we will have a two week gap between closing dates and are planning on staying with my in-laws during this time. we were able to do a lot of measurements yesterday so that as soon as we close on our house we can start ordering the materials. right off the bat will be a kitchen reno, followed by two bathroom renos. i'm excited to be able to start from scratch and actually get exactly what we want.

once we move in i will obviously post more before pictures. the ones on mls are hard to see.

happy wednesday everyone! wahoo for only two more school days!!

love,
