we had a wonderful weekend and were pretty much on the go the whole weekend. we went to austin and kally's house on friday just to hang out. they have two sons, grant (3.5 years) and reid (2 years), who are just the cutest. baird is finallyg getting to the age where he likes interacting with other kids and can actually keep up with them so it is fun watching him play.

we ran to kid to kid to see if they had any cute clothes for B. i didn't find any clothes but i did find these little cuties for $4.99...

we ate lunch at la madeline, one of my faves, then headed to james avery so my mom could pick up a graduation gift for one of her friend's daughters. after that we met my sister amanda for some shopping at our usual go to spots, marshalls, ross, target, etc. i wasn't really looking for anything in particular and i ended up getting quite a few new things... all of which were kitchen related.

the pots and pans were definitely an investment but we had been wanting new ones for a long time. i bought them at marshalls and was able to save quite a bit by purchasing them there. not only are they beautiful, but all of the reviews online say they are amazing to cook with. i gave all of my old tupperware and pots and pans to my sister mallory who didn't have much of either. saturday night we ate dinner at jason's deli and watched the girl with the dragon tattoo, which i highly recommend. 

sunday morning i woke up to a yummy breakfast and bed that griffin cooked. i grocery shopped in the morning to get it out of the way, went on a run, and then spent the rest of the morning and early afternoon cleaning out our closets. we're trying to really pare down before we move. between the two of us, we got rid of a ton, and i mean literally 5 bags full, of clothes and shoes. we also cleaned out all of the toiletries in our bathroom and got rid of a bunch of old cosmetic junk that i keep telling myself i will use and dont. it feels so good to have gotten rid of so much stuff but now i've gotten a bit obsessed with it. there are still a few spaces i want to clean out before we start packing... here's to hopefully a successful week at that. sunday evening we went to my sister's house in midlothian to celebrate mother's day. we cooked out, ate a bunch of good food, and had a great time. my mom and sister took some pictures so i will post those later once i get them :)
