our weekend

this post about our weekend is a little late because truth be told, this is the first second i've had to sit down and type something ha. last week was my last week of school with kids, we spent the weekend in grapeland with family, we spent monday and tuesday in granbury for memorial day with friends and family, and all the while we finished packing up our house. and on top of inservice all week, we are moving!! we've already transferred all of the boxes from our house into the storage building in granbury - we each brought a car load down every day when we came to work. griffin is picking up the uhaul today at noon and his brothers are coming over to help load all of the furniture and unload it all into the storage building. we close on our new house in two weeks and then we will get to do it all over again... im not super excited about this two week delay but it will allow us to do a lot of painting and remodeling before the house becomes cluttered with furniture, boxes, etc.

anyhow, we did have a great weekend and actually bought a few fun things for the house...

this amazing light fixture that i fell in love with at first sight - it will go above the sink in the kitchen

and a pair of these for our bedroom - not sure on the finish right now but once we get them into our bedroom we may paint them - we knew we wanted to smallish, matching side tables and these were perfect, and a fraction of the price of a lot of others we were looking at ($79.99 a piece)

i will probably be mia for a few days since we're moving. hope your wednesday is wonderful :)
