Resolutions

I have never been the resolution type of girl. Although I will occasionally give something up for lent, I rarely resolute as the new year rings in. Anywhoooo... this week I had my students journal about their resolutions for the new year. What they were. Why. And anything else that came to their mind. As we were discussing them as a class, I realized that I needed to come up with some of my own.

After a couple of days of soul-searching, these are what I have come up with.

* Give my blog a much needed face lift - I resolute to spiff up my blog :)

* Blog more in general - I resolute to blog 3-4 times per week.

* Work out more regularly - although i have always been consistent with working out, with the craziness of the past 6 months, I have let my consistent habits go by the wayside. I resolute to work out more.

* BE PRESENT - For the majority of you reading this, you all probably know that I am a major planner. And by major planner, I mean obsessive. compulsive. planner. During times that are supposed to be enjoyable and stress-free, I am planning for the next thing. I resolute to be present and to enjoy the wonderful life that I have been blessed with.

* Tell people I appreciate them more. Whether it is my wonderful husband, my family and friends,my co-workers or any random stranger, I resolute to tell the people who mean the most to me just how important and wonderful they are.

* Lastly, and might I add, most difficultly, I want to save more $$$ - this is one thing the hubby and I both want to do. We spend entirely too much money eating out, going out, etc. and we need to save more. We resolute to save. more. money.

These are just a few that I have been thinking about. I know that they will be difficult to keep, but I am hoping that by publishing them to the "virtual world", I will be more likely to keep them!

Until next time, be blessed! And since I resoluted to blog 3-4 times a week, you should be seeing more of me!!

with love,
maggie

That's the thing about resolutions, if at first you don't succeed, there's always next year! Excited that you'll be blogging more though, it's free therapy for me, ha! And a great place for otherwise forgotten memories. I hope your long term subbing is going well - it sounds like you are really loving it!
