Stole this cute idea from Lyndsey and I liked it...
1) I started dating the love of my life on July 27th 2002, married him on June 14, 2008, and will spend the rest of my life falling in love with him. People say that your first love never lasts. They say that high-school romances rarely last. They say that passion for your partner subsides over time. To all of you debbie-downers, I completely disagree. Griffin has, is, and will always be the love of my life.
2) It is my dream to change the world. I think big, dream big, and when big results do not happen, I grow weary and frustrated. So many problems plague our world and I want to badly to fix them. I went to seminary with the hope that I would learn where it was that I am called to serve. After tons of prayer, meetings with spiritual mentors, and hours spent soul-searching, I realized that teaching is where I feel most called by God. To the deepest part of my being, I believe that if every child in the United States was given a quality education, many of the problems that plague our world, poverty, violence, broken families, just to name a few, would disappear. There are too many children who are told, whether implicitly or explicitly, that they don't have a shot in this world. That they are too dumb, too poor, or too lazy to realize success in their lives. We are all called to transform the world for the better. I believe quality education and teachers are key.
3) Interior decorating is my passion. In another life I would have been an interior designer. I spent many hours decorating spaces in my head. If there is one thing that might drive my husband to divorce me, it is my need to constantly rearrange/redecorate our house, especially when it involves purchasing new items to replace perfectly good ones. Interior decorating is my artistic outlet.
4) I want, more than anything on this planet, to be a mom. I never dreamed I would want a baby this soon into our marriage, but I cannot stop myself from thinking about it. I cannot wait to bring a new, beautiful life into this world. And of course I can't wait to decorate a cute little nursery.
5) I LOVE to travel. Whether it is to a far away place or right down the road, I love getting experiencing new places and new things. I can't wait for Griffin and I to explore the world together. Our upcoming trips include the Hill Country (June 2010), Hawaii (July 2010), Tuscany (Summer 2011) and a possible trip to New York this fall!! We are trying to get a lot of it in before bebes come into the picture. I am also dying to go to Charleston, SC!
6) I desperately want to get connected to a church. Since Griffin and I got married and moved to Fort Worth, we haven't been able to find a church to call home. Because I spent my whole life at Acton Methodist and he spent his at his church, it has been really difficult for us to find a place where we both feel at home. Now that we know we are staying in Fort Worth, we are going to make this a priority.
7) I am a person of extremes. When I get frustrated or angry, I typically overreact. And when I get excited about something, I usually can't stop talking about it for weeks. While this has its advantages and disadvantages, I have learned to recognize, for the most part, when I am being ridiculous. Despite my sensitivities, with this passion comes a real love for life.
What about you?? Tell me 7 things about yourself.
Love,
Maggie

I know when I saw yours I just had to copy it!! I am trying to revamp the blog, ha! We need to get together sometime for a little double date! Will and Griffin can talk business while we gossip!!
love your list...esp #4!!! :)
I had to laugh about #7! That is me!! My sweet husband has to listen to me talk for hours about paint, furniture, design ideas etc. (along with "real" issues that get me heated) needless to say he is a good sport. We are in the process of trying to sell our house right now. We found a home we love (a 50's ranch!) that like yours needs some updating. Now we just need to get ours under contract before October 29th-yeah lots of prayer right now! But my poor hubby (and anyone else who will listen) has to hear about all my ideas to spruce it up 24/7...gotta love those men in our lives!! Anyway I'm so excited about following your blog!!
