day one

i survived. day one came and went and i survived. with all of the anticipation of going back to work, it really wasn't as horrible as i imagined it would be. i woke up at 5:00, showered and got ready, got my stuff together for school, and pumped, all while griffin and bear-bear slept. baird woke up a few minutes before i left, i may or may not have been stomping around the room in hopes he would wake up, so i warmed him a bottle and snuggled with him a little bit while griffin took a quick shower. when it came time to leave, only a few tears were shed.

school was crazy but good. lots of catching up to do since i hadn't been there since before christmas break. seeing all of my kids did make me super excited to be back. although i missed my little bear-bear all day, i may or may not have called and texted cynthia four or five times throughout the day, it was nice to have some adult conversation.

on my drive home i felt like a kid on christmas eve waiting for santa clause, except i was waiting to see my baby. i've been snuggling with him since i got home and i intend on doing so for the rest of the night.
