1. Are you watching The Bachelorette? Of course. Haven't missed a season in 5 years! I'm rooting for Chris L. or Roberto :)
2. How often do you sweep/mop your floors? Uh-oh... not very often. While I don't mind sweeping the floor, I hate, and I mean HATE mopping! It just makes such a mess! I'm sure once the baby is born we will do this a lot more!!
3. Do you hate it when you can't walk barefoot on said floors because you obviously haven't swept often enough? I cannot stand it... and our entire house is wood floors! I usually walk around in sandals just so I don't have to worry about it!
4. Do you have a cleaning schedule? We don't really have a cleaning schedule because we really aren't that messy. Because clutter drives me crazy, we pick up after ourselves most days. When it comes to deep cleaning though, we try and do it every couple of weeks.
5. How many loads of laundry do you do in a week? Probably 1-2 every 10 or so days, although I am sure that this is going to increase when the baby comes along. We don't separate colors and whites so that saves on the time.
6. What is your all time favorite meal to cook? Hmm... well neither Griffin and I are very big cooks. But I guess my favorite meal to cook is chicken fried steaks and mashed potatoes, although I do not cook it very often. It is Griffin's favorite though :)
7. Are you reading any books right now? Yes, I'm reading What to Expect While You're Expecting! I am hoping to start a few novels I have lying around once summer school is over and we finish the majority of the house projects.
8. How do you and your husband share the chores? Hmmm... well we never actually split the chores up, although he mows, takes care of the lawn, takes the trash out, and I do the laundry and unload the dishwasher. He typically does the dishes since he is the only one that eats at home for lunch though. We usually split the deep-cleaning chores up on a particular day and knock it out quickly.
9. What are you most excited about this summer? Finishing up the house, making some extra money teaching summer school, going to Hawaii with the family at the end of July, and nurturing this little baby I have growing inside of me! I also can't wait to find out the gender of this little munchkin. I find out the week before school starts :)
10. What's your favorite Sonic drink? Diet Dr. Pepper... although I'm not really supposed to have them while I am pregnant. I still sneak one in every couple of weeks :)
11. Why do you/don't you blog? This question is funny because, while I consider myself a blogger, I really don't write blogs very much. Don't let this fool you though, I read them every, single day. I love reading what is going on in other peoples lives and I obviously love reading design blogs as well. I write blogs because I like documenting what it going on in my life. It is also is a way to keep me accountable for things I say I am going to do both in life, and around the house.
12. Do you grow your own herbs? I wish. We talked about growing a garden but I am pretty sure our 2 dogs would eat them.
13. What's your best money saving tip? Hmmm... there are manyt things that we do to save money.
- I dye my one hair and my sister-in-law cuts its. This saves about $100 every 2 months!
- We don't shop much. I cannot remember the last clothing item I purchased for myself. It has to at least been a year. We did splurge on a few new suits a couple of months ago for Griffin but that is because he has to wear them every day.
- We DIY most of the things in our house. We paint ourselves, we buy old furniture off Craigslist or at thrift stores and rework them, and we install most things in our house as well. Lucky for me, Griffin is extremely handy. He is our carpenter, electrician, painter, wood refinisher, etc.
- Netflix. We pay $9.00 a month for an unlimited amount of movies. If we went to Blockbuster twice in one month, we would pay more than we do for Netflix. This also keeps us from going to the movies all of the time.
- Another tip would be to cook at home... but I am sad to say we are not very good at this one. We save money in other areas of our lives because going out to eat is one thing we both enjoy. However, I am not naive. I know when the baby comes we will have to cut down on this.
15. If you had to rent a movie tonight (newish release), what would it be? Crazy Heart.

2. I don't remember what the drapes were called, I'm not even sure I ever know, we just found them while browsing...but I do know they were one of the only few they had in that length (118 in. I think?) so it made our decision much easier!
3. WHEN are you going to post belly pics and baby stuff?? I'm living vicariously through you just so you know so I'm really gonna need you to get on the ball :)
