what i'm loving wednesday

its time for WHAT I'M LOViNG WEDNESDAY!!! 

{one} = i am loving not having to work this week. although teaching is definitely stressful, i realize during my extensive time off how nice it is to have long vacations. teaching is extremely rewarding and the extensive time off is definitely bonus.

{two} = i am loving that i was able to make it to the grocery store to stock up on food before baird arrived. i didn't think that i was going to be able to but i went today and am so relieved to have it done. although i am sure my mom would have been glad to go for us once we got home from the hospital, there is something stress-free about bringing baby home to a clean house and a full pantry. i like the feeling of having everything ready.

{three} =  speaking of my mother, i am loving that my mother has made us two homemade dinners this week. texas goulash on monday night and chicken spaghetti tonight. and she made two dishes full so we were able to freeze a dish of each for when the baby gets here. she is wonderful.

{four} = i am loving that my doctor's appointment went so well on tuesday. she didn't do an exam because she didn't want to put me into labor unnecessarily, but she did say that i was progressing well. the baby's heartbeat was as strong as ever and while she does believe he will come early because of my size, she can't read the future. i am guessing sometime in the next week. i had lost three pounds since the week before, lowering my overall weight gain to 12 lbs. while this isn't something she particularly wanted to hear, she did encourage me to eat a lot during christmas, a goal i will not take lightly.

{five} = i am loving the precious baby gifts that keep flowing in from family and friends. today alone i received a cute ducky bath-robe from a family friend, two precious books, in green and gold i might add, from my friend violet, and two of the most precious outfits i've ever seen from my dear friend sissy. like i've mentioned a hundred times before, i am a blessed girl.

{six} = i am loving the sweet comments from all of you about our kitchen. and i am loving that our kitchen is done!! i've had quite a few of you ask about the countertops and i will post a brief tutorial on how we did it later tonight!!

tonight i plan on making a quick trip to walgreens and walmart, running a load of laundry, wrapping a few last minute gifts, and watching a movie with my sweetie. and of course eating some of my mom's famous chicken spaghetti :)
