bedding, bedding, bedding galore

griffin and i spent the day in granbury on saturday making our nursery bedding!! with the amazing help of my mother and mother-in-law, we were able to get the baby bumper and pillows for the couch completed. and let me tell you folks, it took us 11 hours. yes, that's right, 11 hours. we started at 8:30 and finished up around 7:30 saturday evening. i know it sounds like a long time, but it really flew by fast. and i have to tell you, i probably dreamt up one of the most complex baby bumpers ever. there were 4 fabrics involved: one for the outer bumper, one for the inner bumper, one for the ruffle, and one for the cording that went between the ruffle and the inner/outer fabric. here are some pictures from the day... the first few are of my beautiful mother and the last is of my wonderful mother-in-law. the two of them did most of the work while griffin stood by in amazement.

it's really hard to tell from the pictures, but once we get the crib finished this week, i'll take pictures with it all together. stay tuned later today for a few projects griffin and i completed yesterday:)

love,
maggie
