a bench redo

i've had this bench since my freshman year of college and have probably recovered it 5 different times. i wasn't planning on using it in the nursery but when i had some extra red fabric, i thought i might as well use it. the actual bench needed a fresh coat of paint so i started by taking the cushion off and painting the bench. then i got out our trusty staple gun, cut the fabric to size, and stapled away. i've found that the best way to recover a cushion is to do all four sides, saving the corners for last. then once all sides are securely in place, manipulating the corners until they finally look good. this project only took about a half hour and i love the way it turned out. i think it will add a nice pop of color in the room.
