well the abc flash cards that we scored on etsy came in towards the end of last week and we finally had the chance to hang them in the nursery on saturday. because i wasn't sure the length of string we needed, i did a little trial and error. i split the alphabet up into the first and second half, A-M and N-Z, since griffin and i decided two rows would probably look the best. i attached the cards to the jute string with wooden clothespins with about 2 inches between each of them. after attaching them to the string, we held it up above the crib, decided it looked great, and then hung two nails, one at each end of the cord. after hanging the nail, we simply tied the jute string around the nail. we did the same thing for the second set and within 20 minutes, we were done. it was that simple and cheap i might add. the whole project was $20 since we already had the jute string and the wooden clothespins.

pretty simple right? i like how its a mix from the usual picture frame-type art. plus, every little kid needs to learn his or her abcs right? this project also concludes the wall art for the nursery. it is all hung except the large red frames and the baird letters, which we are waiting to hang until we finish the changing table.
hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and a magnificent monday :)
love,
maggie
