lazy weekend, super gap deals, and some new projects

for the first time in a long time, we had no plans this weekend. it was so nice to be able to relax around the house. although i did have a little cold, a little tylenol did the trick and i felt fine after 24 hours or so. we spent friday night and saturday morning watching tv and working around the house. for dinner on saturday we went and met taylor and jaime at our usual eating place, fuzzys :) afterwards, griffin and i ran over to gap to see if they had anything good on sale since i got a $10 rewards gift card in the mail last week. although i didn't find squat, griffin found himself some prettttyyyyy good deals.

{two-pocket worker shirt} = {paid $10.00 - - originally $49.50}

{pima cotton v-neck sweater in blue and red} = {paid $9.99 a piece --- originally $44.50 each}

{deep v-neck tees - bought 4: gray, blue, and 2 stripes} = {paid $4.00 each --- originally  $18.00 each}

i calculated how much we would have spent without the major sale and without the $10.00 gift card and it would have been over $230!! not for us though. nope, we only spent $40 on all of it :)

we were also able to get a few things done around the house...

{one} cleaned out the nursery closet
{two} did laundry
{three} went grocery shopping
{four} started painting the shutters black
{five} finished our abc nursery art project
{six} tore down the faux-rock-archway in the kitchen

stay tuned this week for posts on the last three projects listed.

hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing weekend :)

and yeah for sunday night television --- boardwalk empire, desperate housewives, brothers & sisters!!

love,
maggie

i NEVER go to gap anymore because i feel like their stuff is outrageously priced, but sounds like you got some great deals!
