Lucy Danielle Walton

well lucy is finally here!! last night little lucy came into this world, weighing in at 8lbs 7oz and measuring 20 inches long. although lori had been having contractions for most of the weekend, by the time her doctor gave her the pitocin last night, it only took lucy a couple of hours to get here. for those of you who don't know, lucy is the first girl baby in the walton family in quite some time. there are four walton brothers and, until little lucy was born, 3 walton grandsons. she is the first in 8 to be a girl :) needless to say, we were pretty excited.

then we finally get to see her

although we only got to see her for a few minutes last night, griffin and i took the day off today and got to go see her twice. she is absolutely precious and i know that her, reid, and baird are going to be wonderful little playmates since they are so close in age. 

and speaking of our day off, it was the best-day-ever. after getting to bed late, we slept in till about 9:00, which is super late compared to our normal 5:30 wake-up call, then went to breakfast at ole' south pancake house. we came home, finished hanging the shelves in the nursery, then went up to see lucy. afterwards, we came home and cleaned out a couple of the closets. between the two of us, we purged an entire trashbag full of clothes. we hung around the house for a bit, went to my doctors appointment, stopped by to see lucy again, and then met katie and jordan for dinner. griffin spent the evening cleaning out the garage while i did some organizing around the house. overall, we seriously had a wonderful day spending time together. we joked about how much faster the day goes when we aren't at work :)
