it really is crazy how fast these last 7.5 months have gone by and its even more frightening how quickly the big day is approaching. we are so excited to meet our baby it is unreal. although i must admit, we are soooo scared that we won't know what to do with him.
today the baby is...
{length} = 18 inches
{weight} = 3.2 pounds
{vegetable size} = head of lettuce
as per requested, here are some preggo pictures. trust me, i would't put these up on my own will.
so far i've gained a little over 10 lbs. with, hopefully, about 8 weeks left, i'm hoping i can keep the total weight gain under 15 lbs. they say the weight gain levels off the last 4 weeks so hopefully that will ring true for me as well. everyone asks how i've kept the weight gain down and the only thing i can say is that i was sick the first trimester and that i eat exactly like i did before i got pregnant, which is pretty healthy, if not a little bit less. the whole "eating for two" thing is not a part of my vocabulary. my biggest fear about having a baby was the weight-loss process afterwards so i've been extremely health conscious. it also helps that i have a crazy amount of energy naturally. aside from the few weeks during the first trimester when i was super tired, i literally never stop going. with all of that being said though, it really is freakish how your body can morph into something so different. the fact that i am supporting an 18 inch baby inside of me blows my mind.
overall though, i feel great. the weight of the baby is definitely starting to put pressure on my bladder and my whole body to be quite honest, but other than that, i feel great. i've packed my bags for the hospital just in case and we have watched 1/2 of our videos on childbirth. we also have one of our two classes at the hospital next week and are meeting with the pediatrician in 2 weeks. the nursery is basically done, expect for a few minor things, and i have my first of 3 showers this weekend. i am SUPER excited!!

And trust me, you will know what to do with the baby when it get's here....it just comes from within, I can't explain it! lol You are doing so great on your weight and you will probably wear your regular clothes home from the hospital....I was NOT so fortunate!

Maggie- You look great!!! I seriously could not tell you're pregnant from the front! You really do have the perfect pregnant body! You'll be back to your normal body in no time after Baird is born!

oh please, you're going to be back to your pre preggo body the day after baird is here, where here i am about to have to get a huge chunk of my body cut out to make myself look halway decent! :) love you! you look amazing.
