while we were in granbury this past weekend, i found a wire storage system in the attic at my dad's house that wasn't being used that i thought would work perfectly in the nursery closet. while the closet does have a great container store hanging system, it doesn't really have any other storage. after hauling them home with us, we put them together, a task that turned out to be quite tedious. after seeing them together, i decided that it might be helpful to have a basket in each of them so that they can store little things as well. i went to target and walmart to see what they had, but couldn't find anything in my price range (cheap) that i liked. after work today i ran by dollar tree (everything is $1.00) and found just what i was looking for... all for the beautiful tune of $5.40 for the total purchase. plus, i love the pop of color they provide in the nursery.
i think they will be perfect for everything from receiving blankets and burp clothes, to extra diapers, wipes, and even medicine. and of course if i realize that i have things that would be better off sitting on the shelf, i can easily relocate the basket to somewhere else in the nursery.
i also had some extra square cork-board pieces lying around that i thought would work perfect on the inside of the closet door to post pictures of the growing baby, cards i receive at showers, etc. for zero dollars, i thought what the heck, why not?
so what do you guys think? what closet storage systems work best for you?
do tell... i love me some good organization tactics.

what a great idea with cork boards! i have to admit i have sme lying around here somewhere and might just do the same thing! good find on the baskets too!
I think the "pop" of green from the baskets is super cute! Plus, you can't beat the price. Great find! Love your idea with the cork boards! We have a cork board in my baby boy's room but have found that we could use more cork board with all the cards from his proud grandma!
What a great idea. I love his room- the paint color and design are very neat!
