{sh}utter changes

as i mentioned way back when in one of my to-do list posts, the curb appeal of our house was lacking quite a bit when we moved in. although we loved the 50s ranch-style and even love the deep gray color of the house, there was no pop of color. because griffin and i are both huge fans of black shutters and front doors, we decided that painting the shutters black would definitely brighten up the front of the house. black paint brighten something up you might ask?? i know it sounds odd but the black paint really brightened it up by breaking up the tone on tone gray.

so what do you guys think? doesn't it look so much cleaner? a pretty big change for only 10 buckaroos... yes, thats right, $10!!!

now if only i could get around to decorating for fall. before i know it, it will be too late.
