a walk down memory {hall}

well we finally got around to painting our long hallway the other night. the last space in the house that needed to be painted (remember: every square inch including trim had to be painted), we kind of put it off for a few days. i don't have a before and after picture of the hallway, but it was faux finished like the rest of the house and the doors were painted a beautiful green color. We painted the doors and trim with a bright, white, semi-gloss paint, and continued the color from the living room, nursery, and guest bedroom on the wall. if you haven't already noticed, i love neutral colors. plus, i firmly believe that by continuing the same color palette throughout the house, it makes the space look much bigger (a definite plus in a ranch style house like ours that characteristically has lower ceilings). we didn't want to do too much on the walls in here since it is a pretty narrow hallway.

anywhoo... without further adieu, here are the afters.

now that i'm looking at the pictures, i'm thinking i will probably look for a couple of things for the left side of the wall... perhaps something iron?? what do you guys think would look good?

and what about yall? are yall doing any house projects this weekend?

we are cleaning out the garage. yuck.

love,
maggie
